Calling all Support Specialists in K-12 Schools!
They Don’t Know What We Do:” School Social Workers' Perception of Educational Leaders
Gianna is a doctoral candidate at Temple University, researching the relationship between school social workers' perceptions of educational leaders and their impact on job satisfaction. This research is for more than school social workers. Please see details below!
Qualification

* You currently work in a K–12 school setting (public, charter, private, or alternative)
* Your primary role involves providing student support services (school social worker, school psychologist, guidance counselor, family liaison, special education teacher, paraprofessional, etc.)
* You are willing to complete a 15–20-minute online survey.
My Why
As an intern, I witnessed firsthand the unique and essential role that school social workers play in supporting students, families, and school communities. Yet, I also quickly realized that many others didn’t fully understand or recognize that role. Through this research, my goal is to bring visibility to the contributions of school social workers and deepen understanding of our impact within educational settings.
Your voice matters.
If you are a school social worker, school counselor, school psychologist, or work in the capacity of support specialist in K-12, you can participate.
I’d love your support by completing a short 10-15 minute survey and/or joining a voluntary interview to share your experiences. After completing the survey, you can sign up to voluntarily participate in an interview. All responses are confidential, and your insight will help shape future collaboration and policy for the profession.
